Exclusive Interview with Standout UK Producer Crvvcks

New Hit Alert: Crvvcks & Az Always Present ‘What If’ on Perfect Havoc

Leeds-based producer and DJ Crvvcks (pronounced “Crooks”) is a rapidly emerging UK talent.

Signed to 3Beat in 2021 and Ultra Publishing as a priority writer/producer, his debut 3Beat track, ‘Colours’ featuring Dara Jade went down a storm gaining global radio support and currently sits on over 5Million streams on Spotify alone.

It’s fair to say Crvvcks has made an impact from the get-go. He’s signed to Musical Freedom, D4 D4NCE, and New State, and remixed for David Guetta and Tiësto, with industry acclaim pouring all his work.
On the coattails of Crvvcks’ latest single What If with rising talent Az Always, and ahead of his debut and eagerly awaited EP, Confluence, which lands on Perfect Havoc in June, we got the chance to have a quick-fire Q&A with the man himself.

Congratulations on signing with Perfect Havoc and your upcoming EP! Can you tell us more about the inspiration and creative process behind your new single ‘What If’?

Thanks, it feels good to be able to release music frequently again. I heard this track from Az Always; he sent it to me last year around summertime and I really loved it. It felt fresh so I had to work on it. The EP is a little leftfield, but the creative process was so new and I feel like I’ve made some of my best tracks to date.

2024 was a monumental year for you with tracks like ‘Plateau State’ and ‘Your Body’ creating a buzz. What can you tell us about those tracks?

It was really nice to get those tracks out. ‘Plateau State’ was an inspired by my parent’s hometown and it was quite cool to pay homage to it. ‘Your Body’ was so much fun to make too!

You’ve garnered support from big names like Sonny Fodera, Tiësto, and MistaJam. How does it feel to receive recognition from such industry heavyweights?

It feels really good! When you first start making music, you aspire to reach that level of success so getting their recognition is a big bonus.

Your music has resonated with audiences worldwide, especially on platforms like TikTok and Spotify. How do you approach creating tracks that have both club appeal and viral potential?

I actually try my hardest not to think too deeply into that as it’s stifles the creative of process.

Your remix portfolio includes major names like David Guetta and Tiësto. How do you approach remixing a track while still infusing your unique sound and style into it?

I think it’s all about finding a balance. I’m really lucky to have add the opportunity to remix two big heavyweights in dance music.

As an artist from Leeds, UK making a significant impact on the global dance scene, how do your roots influence your music and career?

Exactly that! The UK is so significant in the dance market and to be able to work with so many talent artists has been a blessing. I feel really lucky to be able to gain a lot of the influence.

With a growing number of streams on Spotify and Apple Music, what do you think has been key to building such a dedicated listener base?

A long catalogue of tracks is always key!

Can you share any memorable moments from your journey so far that have been particularly special or pivotal for you?

I think getting Tiësto’s support was a big pivotal moment for me. Another was working on a track with the Sigma boys – I loved their tunes when I was a first year in University.

Looking ahead to your debut EP ‘Confluence’, what can fans expect from the next few singles?

The EP has a variety of styles, it’s how I came with the name of the EP. I spent the best part of 2024 writing without limitation, and I really love this body of work.

And gig-wise, where can we catch you throughout 2025?

I’m playing at Ministry Of Sound in London on the 29th March and have a few more shows on the way.

Thanks for your time, Crvvcks!

Thank you!
