Your Guide to Defqon.1 Weekend Festival 2024 – Power of The Tribe

Attending Defqon.1 Festival 2024 promises an exhilarating experience celebrating its 20th anniversary. To make the most of your time at this iconic event in Biddinghuizen, Netherlands, here are some essential considerations:

Tickets and Accommodation: Ensure you have secured your festival tickets! The event is sold out, but keep an eye on TicketSwap if you are a last-minute Warrior!

Travel Arrangements: Plan your transportation to the festival grounds, including any necessary parking arrangements or shuttle services. The most popular busses are from Dronten train station – that’s where the party begins! Shuttle bus tickets are available in the official ticket shop.

Packing Essentials as a Day-Visitor: Don’t forget to bring valid ID, festival tickets, bring cash, cards, a fully charged phone with a portable charger, and emergency contacts.

Camping Gear: If camping, bring a tent, sleeping bag, mat, pillow, camping chair, and a flashlight.  Consider the event’s camping rules, which you can find here!

Clothing and Footwear: Pack comfortable footwear for dancing all weekend long, swimwear and slippers for the shower facilities, and accessories for themed days – don’t forget your Sunday-Funday outfit! The weather in the Netherlands is unpredictable – bring a rain pocho too!

Personal Care and Hygiene: Remember toiletries, towels, wet wipes, hand sanitizer, sunscreen (the festival provides sunscreen at the toilet areas too), insect repellent, and any necessary medications or a basic first aid kit.

Food and Drink: Carry a reusable water bottle for hydration, non-perishable snacks. There will be plenty of water stations at the camping and the festival grounds to refill your hydration bag. My personal food tip is the Bitterballen restaurant in the stage area, but you can find a variety of delicious snacks all over the areal – inclusing many healthy options!

Protect your ears with concert-earplugs or noise-canceling headphones, carry a backpack or bag for essentials, and consider flags or markers to identify your campsite. A fanny pack which holds your Tokens and valuables will also fit a power bank!

Health and Safety: Stay hydrated and nourished, and practice moderation with alcohol and substances. Take care of your friends and schedule regular meeting points throughout the day (i.e. front left bar at the Mighty RED for your favorite act). This year Defqon.1 Weekend Festival also introduces buddies at the camp site, in case you need help! They will be stationed next to the shower areas.

Entertainment and Extras: Bring a portable speaker for campsite music (or your German Uptempo neighbours will), and games or activities for downtime – Defqon.1 Weekend Festival offers a variety of entertainment, such as the Warrior  Gym, a tattoo parlor and an Arcade.

Post-Festival Plans: Plan for clean-up with trash bags, prepare your departure logistics, and schedule a recovery day after the festival – don’t forget to exchange contact detals with all your newly found friends to make plans for the next edition in 2025!

Embrace the excitement and enjoy everything Defqon.1 Weekend Festival has to offer!
