Electric Love Festival 2024

Impressive Festival Start: Day 1 of the Electric Love Festival Leaves You Wanting More

The first day of the Electric Love Festival thrilled attendees with a captivating opening ceremony, superstar DJs, and an absolutely stunning show – a success from the very start.

Electric Love Festival traditionally begins with a spectacular opening ceremony on Thursday, marking the official start of the festival. Hundreds of hours of creative planning, rehearsals, and production went into the 16-minute ceremony. Meticulously staged down to the smallest detail, the Electric Love Festival offers an opening of the highest caliber. Over 100 people were involved in the show – producers, musicians, live performers, technicians, and creatives develop a new concept each year. This year, Salzburg artists Dan Lee and RageMode were responsible for producing the Electric Love Opening Ceremony. Until now, Felice had been in charge, but he couldn’t completely step away this year and was involved in an advisory role.

On stage, there was an impressive lineup of live performances: the Salzburg Philharmonic, singer Christina Ortmeier, a Salzburg brass band, Dan Lee on electric guitar alongside drummer Manuel Pink, and the Bakip Borromäum Choir provided musical and technical highlights. Luwam Russom, the finalist of Red Bull Dance Your Style, wowed with a breakdance performance on an elevated platform amidst the audience. Along with the FLYING LIGHTS by FS/TR, they delivered a spectacular act. This year’s opening ceremony was again accompanied by an impressive light show and fireworks, making the 2024 kickoff a resounding success and leaving everyone eager for more.

And “more” is exactly what festival-goers will get this year. Headliners Armin van Buuren, The Chainsmokers, and Scooter created unforgettable moments on the main stage. This year, there are a total of six stages. Besides the Club Circus, where Bausa and Ski Aggu kept the crowd energized, and the harder styles stages Hard Dance Valley and Shutdown Stage, there is a brand new stage: the BlueBoXX. This stage is hosted by local DJs who bring in renowned support. Thursday’s host was none other than Salzburg’s own Toby Romeo.

The Electric Love Festival continues: Day 2 impresses with a stellar line-up. International headliners, exuberant atmosphere, and endless partying.

On the second day of the Electric Love Festival, 45,000 music enthusiasts once again gathered at the idyllic Salzburgring racetrack. Surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery, visitors celebrated together, enjoying the unique atmosphere and music.

The festival organizers had a special highlight prepared for Day 2 for all Hard Dance fans – and those who want to become fans. The Halftime Ceremony dazzled with a spectacular light, laser, and fireworks show that captivated the audience for ten minutes. Top acts like Rebelion, Rooler, and Brennan Heart ensured a lively atmosphere and high-energy performances.

The Mainstage line-up on Friday was filled with the most renowned names in the international DJ scene. For the first time on Austria’s largest EDM stage, German DJs Boris Brejcha and Bunt., as well as Rotterdam’s own Oliver Heldens, performed. Of course, this year’s festival would not be complete without ELF legend Timmy Trumpet, who thrilled the crowd with his trumpet. New York artist Austin Millz captivated visitors on the 360-degree stage in front of the Mainstage. In the Cub Circus, Koven, Luude, and Chase & Status, hosted by Blacklist, provided the great atmosphere that the Electric Love Festival is known for.

After just the second day, it’s clear: the Electric Love Festival is once again ruled by unity and the joy of electronic music. The festival brings together people from all over the world to share their love for music.

Saturday: An Unforgettable Experience Despite Delays

The final day of the Electric Love Festival 2024 experienced a turbulent start when a severe thunderstorm cell grazed the festival grounds in Salzburg with gusts of wind up to 100 km/h. These weather conditions forced the organizers to delay the opening of the grounds to ensure the safety of attendees and staff.

In close coordination with the on-site meteorologist and local authorities, the Electric Love Festival team responded promptly to the weather warnings. Campers were advised to seek shelter in vehicles until the storm passed. Thanks to the cooperation of the festival-goers, the evacuation was carried out swiftly. “Early communication with attendees regarding the evacuation of the campsite was absolutely right and important,” emphasized the emergency services. The police also reported a calm event with few incidents. The fire department highlighted that the delay was handled smoothly due to the close collaboration between the organizers and all emergency services. The festival grounds were reopened after the storm at 8:45 PM.

Despite the challenges, Electric Love attendees were able to celebrate again after the grounds were reopened, undeterred by the difficult weather conditions. Techno DJ Reinier Zonneveld thrilled fans with a short but impressive performance, while John Newman sang live to his DJ set, captivating the crowd. French superstar DJ Snake brought all his hits to the Electric Love Festival, creating an ecstatic atmosphere.

Another highlight was the ELF24 Relive Show, which combined the best moments of the festival in a spectacular light and fireworks show, while Hard Techno dominated in the Club Circus. Here, Nico Moreno & Dyen shone with an exclusive back-to-back set, followed by an energetic performance from I Hate Models. Local Salzburg artist Slashy Disco, responsible for the BlueBoXX on Saturday, created a lively atmosphere together with his DJ colleagues.

The Hard Dance Valley and Shutdown stage were filled within minutes after the gates opened and we got to witness amazing b2b sets by Da Tweekaz and Hard Driver, Primeshock and Maxtreme, as well as Dr. Peacock’s closing with Major Conspiracy. Before his performance, Dr. Peacock took the time for an exclusive interview with us – we can’t wait to share his major news with you soon!

We can’t wait to see you there in 2025!
