Japanese DJ Yamatomaya Prepares for Major Summer Breakthrough with New Single “Maze of Lies,” Ultra Europe Performance, and Bootshaus Debut.

Months after the successful release of “Endless” on Black Hole Recordings, Japanese DJ and producer Yamatomaya is preparing for one of the biggest moments of her career yet with the upcoming release of her new single “Maze of Lies,” due out July 9 via her own label, AMO Recordings.

Seen by her team as one of her strongest records to date, “Maze of Lies” is shaping up as a major release with genuine potential to reach a top position on the charts. The track continues Yamatomaya’s signature sound — emotionally charged melodic progressive house layered with cinematic textures, electronic energy, and powerful vocals.

The release will launch what is set to be a landmark week for the Japanese artist. Just one day after the single drops, Yamatomaya will perform on July 10 at Ultra Europe in Croatia, followed by her debut performance on July 11 at the world-renowned Bootshaus in Cologne, Germany alongside Jax Jones and Julian Jordan.

Together, the release and back-to-back European appearances mark a major step forward in Yamatomaya’s global rise and reinforce growing international momentum around her music and live performances.

“Maze of Lies is one of the records I’ve believed in the most,” says Yamatomaya. “To release it on my own label and then immediately perform at Ultra Europe and Bootshaus makes this a very special moment for me. It feels like everything is building in the right direction.”

Following the strong response to “Endless,” Yamatomaya has continued to build momentum as one of Japan’s most internationally recognized electronic artists. Known for blending melodic progressive house with cinematic emotion, electronic intensity, and powerful vocal-driven moments, she has developed a distinct sound that bridges emotion, scale, and club energy.

Her career first gained major attention with the release of “ALIVE,” which reached #1 on the iTunes Dance Chart and helped introduce her as a rising name in progressive house. After building a loyal following through performances across Japan’s Kansai nightclub scene, she expanded onto the international stage. In 2019, she became the first Japanese female artist to perform at the ADE After Party in Amsterdam, a milestone that helped establish her
presence within the European electronic music community.

That same year, she completed 16 international performances and appeared at six major festivals, accelerating her transition into a globally touring artist. Her international profile has since continued to grow through appearances at major electronic music events including:
