Exclusive Interview

It’s great that the music industry is finally getting back to normal after the past couple of years and live events are returning, how has 2022 started for you?

“2022 actually started really great, I’ve been pushing boundaries with my sounds and music. I’m about to release a new rendition to an all-time classic. I’ve also worked with tech companies on multiple projects such as ‘Lift Your Energy’ with Tesla Motors and also with eToro the fintech company.”

So you’ve recently released some really inventive projects. Let’s start by discussing ‘Lift Your Energy’ Live. In this event you played a live set, surrounded by Tesla electric cars. How did this event come about?

“It’s a really interesting story, I was watching Netflix and saw the SpaceX series. Whilst I was watching it they were showing a lot of technology and I saw that every time they went to the spaceship they took a Tesla car with them and when I went to sleep I had a dream about doing a set with Tesla cars around me and I had this vision of combining music and technology. I shared it with my manager, we reached out to Tesla and the rest is history. We are super grateful that the Tesla team flowed with our crazy idea.”

Do you think renewable sources of energy will have a big part to play in the music industry moving forward?

“The world is starting to embrace the fact that we must take responsibility for our environment. Lots of environmentally friendly initiatives are taking place and I’m sure it’s going to affect every aspect in our lives for the better, this including live events and the music industry too.”

You seem to be keen on utilizing technology within your work. Last year you teamed up with the Desperate HouseWives NFT project. Tell us a bit more about that project. What was it like to enter the metaverse and the world of NFT’s?

“Web3.0 is a really interesting sphere, we started the project with a futuristic label and 2 launch parties in Miami, one of them was on a yacht and the second one was with Major Lazer. I still see the NFT as the future, and it’s going through a lot of adaptations. I’m currently working with multiple communities on several projects – I’m excited to share with you.”

Do you think you will continue to explore technological advancements in your music moving forward?

“Technology is a synonymous term to Future. We always live and breathe technology and it’s something that surrounds our everyday lives. For me it’s inspiring to combine this with the music I’m making. I’m constantly trying to embed elements and sounds that represents this fusion.”

Now let’s move on to talk about your music! You premiered a remix of David Guetta and MORTEN’s ‘Alive Again’ in the ‘Lift Your Energy’ set. What made you want to remix this particular track?

“I think I love everything about this track, from the vocal, the emotional breakdown and the futuristic drop. All these elements caught my attention but I needed to make a version that will fit my sets more so I decided to take this track and put my own signature sound on it.”

You’ve collaborated with some major names, including KSHMR and Infected Mushroom. Are there any artists you’d love to work with in the future?

“Yes of course, there are many of them such as Tiésto, David Guetta & Hardwell with his new style, this could be an interesting combination.”

You’ve become renowned for your Psytrance sound, what kind of direction will your upcoming music take? Your remix of Tiésto’s ‘BOOM’ merged Big Room and Psytrance, do you enjoy mixing different genres in your sound?

“Absolutely. I always love to combine different genres and create fusions. Trance is a genre that has been an integral part of my career and I constantly use elements and feelings from that genre in every track I’m making, whether it’s a radio-friendly song or a club record.”

You are an Israeli artist, what are your thoughts on the talent coming out of Israel’s electronic scene right now? Any producers you’d like to mention?

“There are so many talents and producers who put Israel on the map that it’s really hard for me to choose as there are a lot of genres, but personally I really admire Offer Nissim, he has his own unique sounds and a dedicated community. Also Infected Mushroom & Vini Vici are making big waves and I’m proud of them.”

Lastly, what are you most looking forward to for the remainder of the year?

“I’ve been working on a project for nearly a year which includes musical collaborations together with some big artists alongside a really big tech company. It’s something truly innovative and I can’t wait to share this with everyone, this should be dropped later on this year.”
